"Bloomsday" is a global holiday celebrated annually on June 16th to honor the life and works of Irish author James Joyce. The day gets its name from Leopold Bloom, the protagonist of Joyce's 1922 masterpiece, Ulysses. The novel takes place entirely on a single day in Dublin - June 16, 1904.
